Louisville Skating Academy is a non-profit organization with a mission to promote figure skating. Members of LSA support figure skating and the club and are afforded various benefits and privileges. LSA offers several different categories of membership. Each category is outlined below.
In order to become a member, the LSA membership application must be completed and mailed along with a signed copy of the Liability Release Form and the Ice Rules and Etiquette Form as well as payment in full.
All members of LSA will become members of U.S. Figure Skating. U.S. Figure Skating offers two levels of membership -- Basic Skills Membership and U.S. Figure Skating Membership. Both provide basic insurance coverage, a membership card, and a membership number. However, the benefits of these two levels are different and are outlined within the LSA membership categories below.
LSA will process the U.S. Figure Skating membership registrations of its members. Shortly thereafter, a U.S. Figure Skating will mail a membership card to each member. Please keep this card as the membership number is required for competition and test applications forms. For higher level skaters, this number is needed to access your personal skating record on the U.S. Figure Skating website.
