Terms of Service

Terms of Service

By enrolling in programs, purchasing memberships, or using services offered by Louisville Skating Academy (LSA), you agree to the following terms. These terms apply to all members, skaters, parents, guardians, volunteers, and guests.

Membership

LSA memberships run July through June and must be renewed annually. Membership is required to enroll in Learn to Skate USA sessions and other LSA programs. Membership types, benefits, and dues are described on the Membership Types page. Membership fees are non-refundable once processed.

Registration & Fees

All registrations are conducted online through Entryeeze and are non-refundable unless LSA cancels a session. Same-day, walk-in, and on-site class day transfer requests incur a $15 paper registration fee. Class packages include the stated session time and free skate time. Fees are subject to change each membership year.

Code of Conduct

All members, skaters, parents, guardians, and guests are expected to treat coaches, staff, fellow skaters, and rink personnel with respect. Disruptive, unsafe, or abusive behavior may result in removal from the ice or dismissal from the program without refund. LSA follows U.S. Figure Skating’s SafeSport policies.

Assumption of Risk

Ice skating involves inherent risk of injury. By participating in LSA programs, members and their guardians acknowledge and assume these risks. LSA and Iceland Sports Complex are not liable for injuries sustained during the normal course of skating activities. Participants are encouraged to wear appropriate protective equipment, including helmets for beginning skaters.

Photography & Media

LSA may photograph or video record skaters during classes, events, and performances for use in promotional materials, social media, and the LSA website. By participating, members and guardians grant LSA permission to use such images and recordings. Members who wish to opt out should notify the LSA office in writing.

Program Changes & Cancellations

LSA reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, or modify programs due to low enrollment, facility availability, weather, or other circumstances beyond LSA’s control. In the event of a cancellation by LSA, a pro-rated refund or session credit will be issued. LSA is not responsible for individual scheduling conflicts or personal cancellations after enrollment.

Event Tickets

Tickets purchased for LSA events such as the Nutcracker on Ice are non-refundable. Online ticket sales close on the day of each show. If a show is not sold out, General Admission tickets may be purchased at the door. LSA is not responsible for tickets purchased through unauthorized resellers.

Governance & Disputes

Louisville Skating Academy is a nonprofit organization incorporated in Kentucky and governed by its Board of Directors. Members in good standing age 16 and older are eligible to vote in LSA elections. These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Disputes should be directed in writing to the LSA Board of Directors.
